Computer specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Core duo Q8400, Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3LR Mother board, 2x2gb 1333mhz Kingston Ram, Nvidia quadro NVS 450 (working has been tested with my win 10 pro, i5 750, intel dp55wb, 2x2gb and 2x4gb 1333 mhz kingston Ram rig), TP-link TL-WDN4800 PCIE wifi adapter.

The computer had been running a core duo E8400 and a EN7800GTX previously for a few days until when gaming was attempted (Gmod at min 1080p, MW3 at min 1080p) and the card reached 90*C and the usage and frame buffer were maxed out and visual distortions appeared (static around windows that were open and pathetic frame rates on the destop) and the games becoming transparent. The card was then replaced with a Nvidia Quadro NVS 450 (which i had previously used and functioned perfectly fine for running Gmod at max at 1080 and mw3 at min at 1080p) and the operation of the computer returned to normal operation.

The next day during a game of synergy (coop half-life 2 hosted on another machine) the computer  began to freeze by either the screen going blank or just freezing in what ever it was doing, this then began to happen at a random time period under 15 min rarely as early as when the little coloured balls swirled into the windows logo during startup. The E8400 was then replaced by a Q8400 in case the freezing was due to a lack of cores but the problem has persisted (The EN7800gtx is still broken with this system and is likely totally fried) the drive was then formatted and nuked to Zeros and had Windows reinstalled in case of a virus but the problem persisted.

When attempting to flash the BIOS of the mother board the exe said that the system was incompatible and said to refer to the system type 64 or 32 but didn't say what it needed. The Ram has passed Windows Memory Diagnostic with no errors and the Q8400 had been tested by the used parts store and is not faulty. The CPU cooler is not stock but isn't huge (max temp 68*C plateau for about 3 min before the system froze).

It is possible that this system has been exposed to a surge due to lightning and I will be testing if the PSU is faulty by testing another one in the system shortly after posting this. If you have any possible insight as to what the problem may be please get back to me. Also all settings are stock with no voltage bump or overclock on any parts and bios has been reset to default settings.
