Will the gigabyte ga x79 ud7 support the core i7 4960x cpu

Yes, though it might need a BIOS update.

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

you'll have to have the SB-E to reflash the BIOS before inserting the IB-E CPU.

system will not boot or attempt to boot without proper BIOS. could be a prob for

new IB-E owners and 2nd/3rd hand motherboards. kinda like the P67 1155

that were "IB ready" only if the BIOS was updated prior to the installation of CPU.
