I was running a 550w Roswill Arc psu with 2 evga gtx 950s ftw in sli and a amd fx-8320. Well the power at my home went out for a few minutes but after it came back on my pc started rebooting after 5 or so minutes. Did it maybe 5 times and then while I was in the bios just tweaking around I heard a loud pop. Now everything I'm running isn't but maybe 2 weeks old. Everything was highly overclocked and with a psu wattage test I wasn't even pulling a whole 500w from the psu. So I'm pretty positive it didn't fry from my system. So I took it out and opened it up and to my surprise a damn bug had gotten inside and had chewed some of the cables on the inside. Needless to say his guts was everywhere and a transistor was busted. So that is a 60 dollar psu, I believe, gone after 2 weeks. Now in the market for a new one. I'm pretty tech savvy but was just wanting to get a few suggestions before I goto ordering me another one. I'm running 2 gtx 950s in sli so I need enough to cover both cards and everything else. Right now I'm using an old 400 watt psu so no sli. :( First time for everything D:

Let's see. About 120 watts + 60 for everything that isn't the GPU + 200 watts for both GPUs. You should only be pulling like 400 watts max so maybe a dodo?

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Local asshole and 6th generation console enthusiast.

An EVGA 650Q GQ or 750W B2 has plenty of wattage and can usually be found for not crazy amounts of money.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Why not? Had to spread out funds and yes I know a single card would've been a better choice but these 2 gpus just look awesome to me and its different. For me any ways. They perform flawlessly.

Good a reason as any. More power to ya :D
