the vardars are crap

very loud for the amount of performance

you can get the same performance for less noise if you buy a noctua fan or something like that

the gentle typhoons are not bad, but still loud for their performance

The Noctua fans do not reach the rpm I want and they cost a buttox-ton.

???

why do you want an rpm?

you realize that rpm literally means nothing, right?

what matters is the static pressure and airflow and noise level, rpm doesnt matter at all

WHAT?

RPM means a ton when it comes to hp fans.

The stock fan on the 212 evo performs better because it reaches 2000RPM which the Noctua fan does not.

Airflow doesn't matter, this is a heatsink.

This may vary with other coolers but the 212 evo gains from higher rpm.

It's all tested, look it up.

you're joking me, right?

...........

you have a LOT to learn about fans...

there is a specs sheet on the website

that contains specs such as cfm aka m^3/h

this is how much air the fan moves at full speed

rpm does NOT matter because there are 2000rpm fans that have less airflow than 1500rpm fans

there are many factors that influence performance, such as the impeller design and aerodynamics, the materials, the motor, etc...

also airflow DOES matter because with 0 airflow your CPU would overheat

more airflow is what gives lower temperatures

you can also compare the cheap 2000rpm fan on your 212 evo to a 2000rpm noctua IPPC and you will see that the noctua fan has MUCH more airflow and static pressure

so no, the rpm does not matter because it does not tell you how well a fan performs

I was looking for a new fan for my 212 EVO and came across the Vardar from EKWB and the Gentle Typhoon from Servo.

IDK which one to choose since they almost look the same and from what I can tell from videos sound the same.

Thanks.

I have Vardars they get very noisy at low RPM. Gentle Typhoon are still considered king. It's very likely it fans I will be going with when I upgrade my cooling system.

Current Build: Project Frost
Gaming Rig Build: Project Ice Dragon
