My friends and i like to play a lot of video games so the thought of recording them has came across our minds. im okay with doing the recording because i have a decent amount of money and i already built my own computer capable of what i wanted it to do at the time. But when ever i record videos they are choppy or it doesn't capture the video or the sound. ive tried Dxtory and ive tried OBS and ive tried Nvdia's little record thing. all of them dont work as good as i expected them to. i know its not the programs fault but its my lack of processing power. now i just got my federal and state refunds so i have the money to spend on what ever processor i need. But i dont know if i should go i5 or i7. im gonna but their brand new generation either way. heres my build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/darbstew/saved/#view=6yQrxr  and if you guys can help me with your opinions. feel free to add anthing else that you think is a good idea. i do plan on building a new computer but i do need to upgrade this one for the mean time. starting with the  CPU

I see 4 builds in your link (right?). Please tell me which one and what you want and be specific, because I don't really understand what it is you want and plan on doing now that I've read everything. ( So please which one, what to upgrade, the purpose and the budget for it).

dude, a Xeon is NOTHING ELSE, than an i7 with no IGP, and not overclockable. Thats it.

Thus, its an i5 with hyperthreading, which is cheaper than an i7 itself.

It IS the best CPU for gaming, and better than an i5. This is Fact, and has been Tested more than enough.

Games Benefit from Hyperthreading already.

Edit: Tests have shown, that the said Xeon is compareable with an i5 OCed to 4,6 Ghz~

-If you scroll down you'll there are some issues with it already.

-Why do you have this weard amout of small HHD's in it?

-Do you already have some parts? because a lot of them are black or changed prices.

Edit: I'm now going to eat, so don't expect me back the next hour or so.

This is a good option, great for reccording/editing and that sort of stuff.

If you want higher quality gameplay/recording you should upgrade the gpu as well.

And maybe an SSD if you want for the booting time improvement and overall improvement.
