Dynamic disk to basic disk

I accidentally converted my hardisk settings from disk management.

It read," convert to dynamic" and i entered yes, without thinking! And now now extra partition is not possible.

What do yo mean by dynamic ? like is it changing RMP speeds dynamically, and what is the issue you ran into that made you change your mind ??
