If you can pick upp a i7-2600s or 2600, maybe even 2600k go for it.

Hey, I'm planning to upgrade my CPU this year, I do heavy gaming with my PC. Now the problem is my Motherboard CPU socket is LGA 1155 Is there any CPU that is way better than my current one with LGA 1155. or should I buy a new motherboard? My price range is around 200€ 

specs:
CPU I3 2100
GPU GTX 970
Mobo Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3 (rev. 1.0)

It could still work but I think that the i3 heat sink is quite small compared to the i7 version. Keep in mind that it could run considerably hotter than normal.
