Yeah, i know xD i mean another ones hahahaha (to have two or three options depending of the budget hahaha)

BenQ GW2765HT
Asus PB278Q
Acer XF270HU

But still, options are totally out there ;)

Hi to everyone, as the title says I'm going to upgrade my monitor and i just want to ask you if you can answer me some questions.

First of all im going to post my actual config (you can check it full on my profile)

CPU: 3770 non k

GPU: Asus Strix 980 stocks clock's (idk how to overclock... :()

Actual Monitor: Samsung S22C300, AN 22' 1080p 60hz TN xD

And I play games like The Witcher 3 like the most demanding one xD

Now the questions:

1. Would you upgrade the monitor?

2. What is the minimum fps recomended to play?

3. If 1 is yes: Would yo go 1440p?

4. Why 3?

5. If 3 is yes: What average fps i should expect?

6. If 3 is no: What would you upgrade to?

7. Give me an example of the monitor you would upgrade to.

Thanks to all of you guys i hope you can answer my questions because i really trust LTT forum :)

The 980 can handle 1440p for sure, likely at 60 fps if you don't need to crank every setting to the top. Me personnally I would find a nice 27" IPS 1080p display. That pixel density is too low for a lot of people but I find a really good quality display trumps higher pixels and refresh rates which are still overpriced IMO.

1- No. Unless it's really old (witch i believe it's not)

2- With your monitor you need a constant 60FPS, but with your 980 i believe you'de be bypassing that so you'll need to have G-Sync enabled

3- Well, i use a 1440p monitor and yes, there is a difference, but you can downscale 2.5K on your 1080p no prob, wont be as good as an actual 1440p panel, but will be better than running it's native 1080p, will be able to skimp on AA a bit

4- Above :P

5- 45-55 maybe up to 60

6- Currently, IMO, 1440p is the sweet spot, but is it worth it, i don't know

Hm maybe the pixel density is too low for me, i don't really know hahahaha.

I guess that my upgrade options are a 23' 1080p 144Hz or g-sync

Or a 27' 1440p

Your 980 will handle 1440p Ultra just fine dude if you decide to go for it
