Any tips?

Go to solution Solved by ttam,

So, I'm upgrading CPU, Ram and the motherboard in October, and I have never built a computer.. Any tips for doing it? Because i don't want to destroy anything.. I'm a little afraid that I will plug something wrong and destroy the computer..

When you upgrade just remember to check out the videos posted above, make sure everything is going to work together and when you get a new motherboard, check out the manual that comes with it. The manual will show you proper installation, where to plug in cords, etc.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Don't be worried =D It's a lot of fun your first time. How familiar are you with components and all the connections?
