SO there is three answers...

 

One leg of a right triangle is 1 millimeter longer than the shorterleg and the hypotenuse is 2 millimeter longer than the shorter Find the lengths of the sides of the triangle.

 

The length of the shorter leg is 3mm

 

The length of the longer leg is____

 

The length of the hypotenuse is ____

For the future use the Pythagorean Theorem:  a^2 + b^2 = c^2 ,
A really fast way to find the third side or check if it's a right angle (other than the Pythagorean Theorem) is pythagorean triples. There's a few of them and they are a set of three numbers that always make a right triangle. Their multiples also make right triangles. Here are a few  Pythagorean triples (3, 4, 5) (5, 12, 13) 8, 15, 17) (7, 24, 25) (20, 21, 29) (12, 35, 37)  (9, 40, 41) (28, 45, 53)  (11, 60, 61) (16, 63, 65) (33, 56, 65) (48, 55, 73) (13, 84, 85) (36, 77, 85) (39, 80, 89) (65, 72, 97)
