Nice storage choice. Any reason on choosing Windows 7 Professional? It will no longer be supported by next year, and i think your not supose to get free Windows 10 buying the 7 now. Probably wrong tough. Still, Windows 7 is an extremely odd choice, and is actually worst than Windows 10 in performance and features offered, for todays standards.

Like the others said, I wouldn't recommend Windows 7. It was nice and cool, but it's just out dated and has dying support for it, Microsoft trying to kill off 7, and even 8.1 as fast as possible (see what i did there?) to make everyone go to Windows 10.

I would recommend you get a nicer H97 board. Nothing wrong with that board (I have it), but you can get one with a worse chipset (it is a locked CPU) and more features like SLI and M.2

I would suggest getting a smaller hard drive if you don't plan on literally putting your entire library of games and some multimedia stuff on your PC. As well, I would suggest getting a boot SSD like a 120/240/256 GB drive for like Boot and maybe something else on it.

As well, Z97 is not necessary for a "technically" not overclock able chip. You could get like H97 or something I don't really know LGA 1150 chipsets.

If you want more value you could get a 380x or 390 instead of a 970, although I personally prefer NVIDIA, but it is your choice.

I switched the motherboard to an H97 since you won't be overclocking that CPU.  Also switched hard drives to give you an SSD for your boot drive (it's amazing how much faster this makes a system feel).  For 1080p this card is perfect in my opinion, and it'll manage for 1440p if you decide to upgrade monitors.
