Hey! So a while ago I got my first computer built. The Build. So me being the smart person that I am I attempted to overclock this thing, which seeing as how it said oc edition kinda seems like a bad idea looking back on it. Anyways, needless to say, my GPU didn't live much longer... Over the course of about a week or so the graphics card just gave out and broke a bunch of times, until it didn't do anything when I turned it on. So I accepted that I fried it, and took it out, hooked up a 4:3 monitor to the motherboard's onboard graphics and just did all my gaming like that. Now I've decided that I am going to get a new graphics card. So I was wondering what card to get. Should I just buy another 660? Or buy something else? Thanks!

The 380.. But I'd be watching how much draw your putting on that PSU, especially if you overclock it..

Besides which it should be basically impossible to kill your card ocing these days.. Have you tried RMAing it?

Yeah I'm never overclocking again until I get more experienced with PC's, so the PSU shouldn't be a problem... I don't really know how I killed the card but it happened.

Might be worth getting in touch with tech support if it's still in warranty.. you might get lucky. Thats total system .. they allow a large margin.. 450w is just about ok.. though I wouldn't OC

It's been over a year since I had the card, so I don't think that the warranty is still valid.

I'm pretty sure it'll have a 2 or 3 year warranty from Asus... TRY... Could save yourself the cost of a GPU.

Though, I wouldn't mention overclocking... just that it's dead.. and how it behaved before it died..

asus website or retailer... not sure of the policy there.. should be in the warranty info with the cards documentation.

Just checked the warranty info and I can't return it because the original bar code was taken off to send back to ASUS for the rebate... So I'm thinking that my best bet right now is to go with the gtx 960, because it meets my price tag, the power useage is good and it's specs are good.

You need the bar-code to claim the warranty?

I'd still shoot their support a mail / open a ticket.

They should have record of the  card already as you registered / got a MIR for it.. They'll be able to tell you yes or no... sometime contacting through socialk media gets better results and Asus are well known for their customer service... I'd test it.. otherwise whats the point in brand reputation or premium prices.
