Has my motherboard port just died?

So I was idle for a hour or so and left my pc on desktop and I come to see my mouse is off so I take it out, put it back in and nothing then I tried a usb flash drive, nothing

I rebooted, nothing

My mouse works in the front ports

has the port died? if so then well rip ;-; i need mah ports especially the mobo ones since my little brother will BEND THE ABSOLUTE SHEITE of anything he sees in teh front ports and all my other ports are taken up

my mobo is one of those cheapy pre-built mobos (yeah ik ;-;) MS-7869

if it has died, how if i was just idling?
