hi guys, are the msi gaming g6's built with overclocking in mind ? 

In another post some guy was telling me that they weren't but that was only his opinion but I waste sure so I thought I'd ask as they have a great cooler 2x 8pin power conctors and Samsung memory

They will overclock just fine but if you live in the US amazon has the Evga classified for $639 atm

Oh lol. I mean they aren't a kingpin/lightning/matrix/classified card but they are great cards still they just don't have some extra features that most people don't need.

yes and no. my stock core clocks were like 1366 or 1370 but i was able to overclock stable with +30mv and power managment to +109 and got a stable oc of 1505mhz with temps into the mid 70s which isnt bad imo. i havent done the mem just yet. and if it isn't implied but i have the msi gaming 980ti 6g its definately not going to compete with other things like the kingpin but thats sorta a different story and price range

Can say that they dont overclock amazingly well, max i got was like 1485ish, though i have not encountered a game i needed to OC for much. WOW Does not like any Overclock

I know what you mean every time I would forget to turn my OC off from playing another game and switch to WoW it would just fall on its face.

my card runs at 1600/8000 (custom bios) fine (check signture for firestrike) but its custom loop cooled. can agree with overclock on WoW. have to go down to 1525 on core untill it doesnt crash.
