M.2 Drive not recognized

Hey guys, i recently bought a M.2 samsung 850 Evo drive and a silverstone M.2 pcie adapter, and i haven't been able to get my systems to recognize it, in my bios, and windows. I have on X58 based system, and one b85 system. Will this drive and adapter work on either of those, and if so, how? I am on windows 10 64 bit.

That is a SATA drive, not a PCIe drive.

sata M.2 SSD cannot work in PCIe M.2 slots
