Internet Connectivity Issues

This problem started off with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 7720). It would regularily stay connected to the network but not have internet connection. It has since been regualrly occuring on my desktop and cell phone (Blackberry Q10). It seems to be most common on my desktop, happening at least every 10 minutes for a few minutes everytime. Less often on my laptop and cell phone. Most of the time one will lose internet connection while the others are fine. I can play games like Star Wars Battlefront and BF3 and 4 without losing internet entirely, but with regular and huge lag spikes.

 

Steps I have taken

-updates drivers on all three computers

-reset modem and router many times

-tried and failed to update router firmware remotely (will be trying through Ethernet)

Not sure what to do from here.

Have you tried on LAN , do you have the same issues ? 

If it the issue happens on multiple devices it might be a issue with your router or modem

This is where I would use a LiveUSB of Ubuntu and see if the problem presents itself outside of Windows. If yes then router/hardware problem, if no then I'd work my way through the Windows settings again.

I have tried LAN and it works. There are other computers on the system that are able to game online but 2 that are having the same issue (One or more internet protocols are missing). One laptop and another desktop, both only a clean Win 10 installs (one a few weeks, other a few months).

So I have moved both computers very close to the router. Everything seems to be fine. Any idea why the wi-fi range would suddenly stop working at the same range that it worked at for months? Other computers are even farther and game without problem.
