I was contributing to the Linus tech tips folding at home team when my cpu reached 60 degrees c and i cooled it down now to  38 c but i was wondering at what temp will fry my cpu it is a amd fx with a nepton cooler on it.

A quick search told me that you should be fine. Get to 65 C first and then we can think about it being a problem.

You can search for TJ MAX this is the max temp for your cpu. If this temp is reached your pc will automatically shutdown.

Be careful what you read though - there is only one temperature reported for the 4770k on the official intel site (for example), and it's not TJmax

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I'd say 75-80c+ is where you might want to become concerned, but 50's and 60's is completely normal.
