So, the keycaps are a big problem, should I get the G710+ or the G710?

It's great and even better at it's current street price. It can actually be cheaper with sales. Got my G710 for $50 USD on Blackfriday.

When did you buy your G710? This issue was supposedly fixed at the end of 2014 so 2015+ stock should have keycaps that stems don't break.

I want the one with G710+ as it has brown switches (my mom hates the clicky sound of the Blues)

I can't tell you if this was due to my sample the product or the way I used it. it is my first mech keyboard. Just from general shape of the keycaps it seems this could have happened to me with any other keyboard. Idk though.

The issue was pretty widespread. You should hit up their support. They can send you out some new keycaps I'm sure.

It's a 3 year warranty coverage. If you got your keyboard Christmas 2014, you're still covered.

Very likely they will send you a whole NEW keyboard. It would be rude for them to ask you to take every cap off and replace each one yourself!

It's nice having a company that stands behind their product with nice long warranties.

it doesn't bother much that those keys are ordinary switches. not like you click them as often as WASD or the arrow keys

To be honest, if I had got one of the affected G710, I'd have bought custom caps, then after finding out they had a fix I'd wait till just before my warranty expired and then put the original caps back on, then make a support claim and get a whole new keyboard (Everyone I've seen submitting the claim due to the caps has gotten a new keyboard). It's just nice to not have to deal with cleaning or whatever after 3 years of use LOL.

Standard across the board is 1 year warranty.

Corsair offer 2 year warranty.

Razer offer 2 year warranty on their 2016 keyboards.

Das offers extended warranties for purchase.

But it sucks if their support site is so clutered and weirdly laid out that I can't even find a place to request anything ...

Could you help me? You sound like you had done this before.

So after checking Linus's review on the same, I decided to buy one in May last year. I mainly bought it since it carries a three-year warranty which is an addtional one year compared to Corsair(I guess?). So far, it's been a fantastic keyboard even with rough-usage and I am fine with standard white-LEDs and also the pricing of 90$ tempted me a lot. My sister accidentally spilt water on the keyboard a month back and hopefully it still works except for only one problem with the down-arrow key. It does work but takes a long time to respond. But yeah as mentioned by others, I don't have any problems with key-caps etc. I personally felt the wrist-rest to be a bit short(for me). The only downfall with the purchase was Logitech didn't want me to register my keyboard. And their support didn't help much either seems like a single lady taking care of all the support mail or at-least she is the only one replying to my mails :P. But after a few tries I eventually got it registered.
