What is a good PC Speaker under $100?

DO NOT GET THOSE GO GROOVES!

Please instead purchase these fantastic studio monitors

You will be much happier with these, trust me.  The Go Grooves are all aesthetics with poor audio quality.

True, but do note he needs an amp for the ones you linked.

Is it possible, to use a cheap portable headphone amp Brainwavz or FiiO, purchase adapters and then plug it in?  Like a Y cable with 3.5 mm females then two RCA out with a 3.5 mm male on the in so they can plug into the Y cable, and in theory it should power both speakers.

No, but there's no need. The powered PB42X are over $100, but frankly it's worth it. Otherwise the OP can get a Logitech thingy and like it.

So what is the difference between PB42X and MB42X?

MB42X is passive, it requires a seperate amp to send signal to it.  PB42X is powered, it's a MB42X with an amp built into it.
