Typing issue

So recently I've have a little bit of a problem typing very quickly.

 

Instead of using all my fingers I use less than half. I'm a little embarrassed. A week ago I started to type like this again instead of with all fingers.

This is only on laptop keyboards or small keyboards. I'm now as of this post doing 44 words per minute. Even though I used to do 80 words per minute previously.

How do I go back to "normal" typing?

Keep practicing, pay attention for when you're doing it "wrong" and force yourself to do it "right". Only way to fix it, really.

get on my level ~34 wpm. :P

Take it slow and get your muscles used to it again, at which point you'll be able to go back to full speed, me thinks.

Normal as in all fingers? I'd just use a web service to work on your typing skills. Keybr.com is my go-to

Just keep doing typing tests, I was at around 65wpm when I was 11 or so, then over the years I went up to ~120wpm. I honestly only use about 3 fingers per hand for typing.

Instead of using all my fingers to type I have a tendency now to use just two or three (I have quite large hands).

um thats not bad I can do 30wpm on one hand while texting so your fine but I really only use 4 fingers on each hand

Which fingers? On my left hand I use my 4th, 3rd, and 1st finger (everything but thumb and pinky) and my right hand I use thumb and first and third fingers but sometimes use fourth.

For me it's mainly my index fingers. and thumbs (just for hitting space though)

Not sure what to tell you, I cant use my "pinkie" fingers to type with (its a physical thing I cant change). Just do what you did when you first learned to type, be conscious of your positioning.

Well at the risk of sounding obnoxious- practice.

You could try using typing software, it does help.
