hello,

so couple days ago i posted about GFE being laggy upon start up and hangs after it does, basically it cant be used

i followed one suggestion to install an old copy of GFE (current is 2.9, i installed 2.5) and it was fine

but then today when i tried to use shadow play, it didnt worked, so i tried to open GFE and it tells me to update

having no other options (i seriously hope nvidia could atleast let me choose whether i want to update or not), i clicked update but atlast, the update failed and GFE cant be opened or updated

i havent tried re-installing the latest version(i did so 2 times), but im guessing it will be laggy and buggy.

so... is there anyway to disable GFE update?

also, heres my computer spec in case something is wrong:

CPU - i5 6600(non-K)
Mobo - Asus B150 Pro Gaming/Aura
Ram - 8gb DDR4
GPU - Asus Strix 970
Storage - SSD + HDD (GFE is on SSD)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

I've never had GFE force me to update - but bare in mind there are quite a few older builds of GFE which have broken features with some drivers.

I've not had an issue with GFE hanging like that personally. maybe try uninstalling it, check your AppData Local & Roaming folders and make sure you delete any GFE folders from there, and try CCleaners registry cleaner before reinstalling the latest version?
