Youtube Issues

So YouTube seem to have decided to switch things up again... Yay

 

 

Problem is when I load up a video, I have to refresh before I can see the comments or else it will keep displaying "loading...".

 

Once the video has finished it will automatically switch from the "About" tab to the "Share" tab.

 

And lastly I keep on having to refresh the homepage before I can see my subscription box.

 

 

I know these aren't really a big deal, but it's quite annoying, anyone else having these issues?

Just sounds like a browser issue. Clear your cache and see if you have any extensions that need an update. A week ago my adblock decided that it would mess up every single page.

Yeah I had tried clearing cache and all that, was working fine on Chrome and Opera. I mainly use Chrome and Firefox, but have to switch between them for a few reasons like Adblock etc, I really don't like using it unless I have to, so Chrome has all of that turned on.

 

Turns out a fresh intall of Firefox did the trick, homepage loads up fine and no more loading comments Still switches to the "About" tab at the end of videos Its really confusing when you go looking for the description at the end but I can live with that.

I know not a massive fan of this, these small tweaks kind of get on my nerves a bit :lol:

 

I recently put a new motherboard into this machine, everything was pretty fresh on it so didnt think it was a problem with extensions, updating or anything. I did download all my hardware monitoring programs in a rush and must have accepted some free crap along with one of them :lol: Reckon thats what the other problem was, making a habit out of missing the obvious this week.

I wonder if someone's made an extension to get around it like they have for the YT homepage to redirect you to your subscription box.

I know there are firefox ones that aid in helping that. It's all a matter of time before someone does make it.

You could try Youtube Center, i can't remember if it fixes the automatically switching to the "share" tab but i do know it fixes a LOT of things youtube messed with that i personally didn't like, such as the stupid "DASH" buffering method (that was my main pet peeve). It offers a tonne of other features too like, centering everything on youtube rather than having it all left-aligned, changing your homepage to subscribtions, changing your homepage to show tiles instead of the feed and a tonne more.

Turns out the problem is still there with Firefox, if I click on a thumbnail on the main page or from a channel everything is fine albeit a little slower. Whenever I click on suggestions to the right of a video I still get the issue of having to refresh before I can comment...

 

Is this happening to anyone else? I have a feeling it has something to do with this new dash buffering thing.

 

I never have to refresh on Chrome but it still gives like a 3 second delay, nothing major, but I thought improvements were meant to improve things :lol:

I have problems with Youtube too, but they go away after some time. And i have a bookmark that directs straight to Subscription page. Easier and faster.
