What to do with HDD

Go to solution Solved by Badazzz,

Personally I would leave the HDD as a boot drive, especially if you're on a desktop. If you're constantly booting off of an SSD then it will die much quicker than the HDD. But it is nice to have those quick boot times :D so yeah I would use the HDD as storage, maybe for movies or something.

If you've successfully cloned the drive over to the SSD, make sure you go into your BIOS and set it to boot using the SSD, then when in Windows you can format your HDD.  Most programs will allow you to pick where you install (with some exceptions), and with Steam you can choose to make it download to your HDD when you're downloading a game, just create a folder and make it your download directory in Steam.

Formatting will delete the stuff on there right?

In a regular use case, an SSD wont die. Booting from it doesn't do as much damage as constant file transfer.

It's still a lot more damage than just leaving your games on there, but idk, after the WAN show was delayed by a dead SSD I've been treading carefully over flash storage.

LOL. WAN show they're probably constantly throwing those huge video files around. Are you doing that on a daily basis?

Probably not.
