GPU Upgrade from GTX 460

I'm building a "new" budget PC but only got my sweet old GTX 460. What kind of graphics card would give me a nice boost while not being to expensive.

I'm not looking for a ultra high end one just around mid range that let me play current games on around medium maybe even high settings.

 

My Specs right now:
AMD FX 6300 (couldn't afford anything higher and it was urgent so i went for it)
8GB Ram HyperX

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P

120GB SSD Kingston+multiple HDD around 2TB in total

Geforce GTX460 EVGA

Try to pick up a used 7970, they have insane price/performance at the moment (and handle 1080p gaming very nicely indeed).
