Should I get Rise of the Tomb Raider

cortexcortex

Basically as the title says; should I get Rise of the Tomb Raider? I've played about a quarter of the story of Tomb Raider 2013, and I'm also planning on getting Rise of the Tomb Raider. I was wondering: do I need to play the Tomb Raider 2013 game to be able to understand the new one, and also if I should get the game.

Thanks

I don't think he'll have any performance issues with 980ti sli on a 1440p monitor

What are you running?? It ran perfect for me at 144hz on ultra settings.. everything cranked up.

ANYWAY yes op. If you enjoyed the originals tomb raiders or the concept behind them I'd pick up the new game. I certainly am having fun with it.

EDIT: 970 explains it :P

With two 980ti's I doubt you'll have any problem what so ever as the 1440p recommended specs only need one.  Thinking about this one myself how well would this run on a 1080p monitor with a GTX 980?

It doesn't matter if i was still using my old R7 260X, it would still run shitty -- sorry, let me correct myself. It runs shitty on standard hardware that should be able to run it - 970s, 390s, etc. Not everybody has a 980TI, but for the most part, it sounds like that's the only thing that can run it nicely.

It looks gorgeous. Dont really expect it to run super well on other hardware ( on ultra ). Who knows maybe they will patch it making it run slightly better. What settings/frame rate are you getting?

You have a Nvidia card, it should run well on ultra @ 1080. If anything right now a 980 is over kill for 1080p lol  :P  :D
