I thought about doing this last week when I did my first hard line build. I assume you mean using hot water to heat the tubes instead of a heat gun. Sounds like it turned out good?

Hello I just bent my tubes with water. I was building my second hardline build and I let my dad alone with the tubes. He got the brilliant idea to use water. I've never heard of anyone doing it, are the tubes damaged? Otherwise I could 100% recommend it.

Are you talking about using boiling water on the exterior and dipping the tube in to bend it?

you would have to check the temperature for the tube to start being bendable, i doubt boiling water would be hot enough to do that. but it would not hurt to try it.

With boiling water and PETG tubing at least it could be possible since the glass transition state starts around 81-88C which it the point where it beings to soften, so at 100C it should be somewhat soft and malleable, however you will still need a silicone bending rod to prevent the tube from collapsing down on itself.

Yea I know it worked really well. Of course I use silicone otherwise it would break right away.

Can you explain what you did exactly, I don't really know what to imagine by "bending with water" other than avatar...

Or do you mean hot water?

Hahah yea it was kind of like waterbending in avatar! Haha. No but I boiled a big bucket of water and put the PETG tubing with silicone in it and I could bend it perfectly. Have never seen anyone use that method but it was very good!
