Is i3-4170 enough for OBS/XSplit record/stream?

My target stream settings is 720p30fps. Downsampling the record from 1080p. Games played are usually MOBA/s and SimCity 5.

Streaming mostly depends on your GPU. And idk wtf manikyath was on to make that prediction lol

EDIT: Also your internet speed, but that's kind of irrelevant here.

my a8-6600k (paired with 7750) was pretty fine with some frame drops on the game (not on xsplit).

my preset for streaming now is set to the CPU encoding.

For internet speed, I have 1.2up

If that ping is fine for you sure, personally i bit too high for me to play but i3 should have to stream 720p 30fps fine, if you have trouble turning down res is your best option

What? Streaming does not depend on your GPU..

Streaming is ENCODING and RENDERING a video and directly outputting the files to the internet. Yes it depends on your GPU.

You can stream, but I wouldn't count on a bitrate much higher than 1000

The bitrate is dependent on your upload speed, not your processor

You're pretty stubborn aren't you?
