How can we possibly tell? You want to give him the knife with nothing in return? That's an obvious scam. If you are trading two items do it in the same trade.

He doesn't have CS:GO in his game library. He's obviously not legit.

Not legit, this is a scam. There are no "steam reps" that will "inspect" your items.

it's a thing scammers say. They say trade your knife with this person they work at valve and need to verify the trade of a bug (then they post a link to a real and old (patched) cs go trade bug) so this doesn't happen . Then the noob believes it and gets scammed. It's super common

yes but a lot of them recently starting taking payment to help in scams
