A friend and I want to build a Hackintosh. But... I have never used an apple product in my life for good reason

Anyway, if I already have a case and PSU, what could we do in terms of GPU, SSD, HDD, CPU, and motherboard?

Lets say for 30$ I can get 8GB of RAM on craigslist, 40$ for a cheap SSD, I have a spare 500GB HDD sitting around, so thats free...

For a max budget of maybe 500$ USD or so, what GPU, CPU, and motherboard should we use?

Never built a Hackintosh before, so I have no clue as to what the system requirements are for something that behaves itself...

Used stuff is okay, here is what is available on craigslist in our area: http://reno.craigslist.org/search/syp

It used to be that you could only use gigabyte boards but that seems to have changed

You'll need Intel for stock OS X (which you want, I promise) and a Gigabyte mobo increases your odds of success.

My rig: Intel Core i7-8700K OC 4.8 | NZXT Kraken X62 | ASUS Z370-F | 16 GB Trident Z RGB 3000 (2x8) | EVGA 1070 SC | EVGA SuperNova NEX650G1 | NZXT H700 | Samsung 250GB 850-EVO | 2x 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDDs
