adobe premiere pro vs sony vegas pro

so which one is better at utility?

-CPU

-GPU

which one has the upperhand of them?

If anyone can backup with info, showing benchmarks would be super helpful to the community IMHO,

Imho linus should make a vid regarding these :)

“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

I prefer premier, because I can jump into After Effects and Speedgrade easily

I can't really back this up with any statistics, but I would say Adobe.  I also can't back this up with any statistics, but I'd say that more professionals use Premiere than Vegas.  Also with no statistics I would assume Adobe is just all around more experienced with this type of software.

Adobe is better in my opinion, but in terms of doing really quick edits (like cuts), vegas is the one I'd use

Adobe is better, but Sony Vegas Pro is much easier to learn the basics. I'd use Sony Vegas for pretty much anything I do since it's really simple to use and I can do things in a reasonable timeframe with little experience.
