Hey, well I build my new rig in June 2015 and I was playing a game off csgo and my computer froze so I turned of my rig from the power supply. When I went to turn it back on.. It was stuck at the gigabyte splashscreen for about 3-5 minutes and then it's a black background with a flashing white underscore than if you keep it there it goes to a new screen saying "Reboot and select proper boot device" i have access to the bios/boot options and it is recognizing my ssd and my other hard drive but it's not booting from it.. Can anyone help please? Thank you

EDIT: I even downloaded Windows 8.1 on a usb and tried to boot from that and did the same thing it did with the ssd..

your SSD might have just failed :o Theres a few things to check like unplugging it and plugging it back in, stuff like that. Then if that does not work try the 8.1 boot again. If othing your SSD is bad

The motherboard is detecting the ssd, I tried putting the ssd data cable into a Diffrent port and still did the same thing..

When I tried to boot from the usb that has Windows 8.1 on it, it did the same thing as booting from the ssd.

I had a problem today with my SSD. It was running fine and then randomly froze up. I restarted and first windows failed to start. The second time it said it was a drive read error. I swapped the SATA cable and it fixed the problem. It's uncommon but it's something you could try.
