Discrete + Onboard Graphics Question

Go to solution Solved by v0id,

Did you install the drivers for the integrated graphics?

Installed but apparently not updated, Windows found a newer driver and my TV now works. Wow, I'm an idiot. Much obliged.

Hello.

I would like to connect my TV via HDMI to my integrated graphics controller on my motherboard. I have a 980Ti for my main display, and yes I know I can just simply use the 980Ti's HDMI port but I figured I got the integrated graphics, why not actually put them to use. I have an ASUS TUF motherboard and have enabled the integrated graphics within the BIOS, yet my TV refuses to be discovered. Is there some kind of extra step that I'm missing here? I feel like I should throw all my certs in the trash since I can't even figure out this basic conundrum. Google didn't help much and isn't very personal, so thought I'd try here. My quick specs are below.

CPU: i7 4790k

MOBO: ASUS TUF Z97

GPU: 980Ti

When plugged into my GPU, my TV is discovered instantly. So the cable is fine. I just took stupid pills for some reason this morning.
