Which mobo would you choose?

Slayher

1) AsRock Z77 Pro4

OR.

2) ASRock Fata1lty Z77 Performance

why upgrade your Mobo?

My USB ports are shorting it on the back, plus graphics cards slot holders are broken on the board.

The board is overall going bad, PS. Don't ask me how the slot holders are broken pls.

You're going to need to flash the bios to newer one if you buy the P67 board; also check if the board does actually support Ivy Bridge. I know it's a 1155 socket, but some don't support it.

I'm not sure if there's other methods, but I had to use a Sandy Bridge processor in order to flash the bios into a newer one so I could use an Ivy Bridge processor.

I'd go for the Asrock Z77 for ease of installation.

Okay, check the new OP and answer my question please!

Removed the P67 board from the OP!

PS. Please check the OP and recommend me which Z77 board to buy!

Don't buy P67 boards. At least go with 68.

But you should really stick with z77 mobos to get the full features out of your CPU!

And why don't you just buy some huge USB Hub for like 50$?!

I'd go for the Fata1lty but it does cost a bit more. Could go for a cheaper one if you want to save.

The same as the first one but in an ATX form factor and at the same price. Not sure what's going on there, haha.

Unless you want to SLI, then grab the Fata1lty.

Nevermind, neither board can SLI. Sorry.

I saw that you broke your mobo, but I was talking bout the "more USB ports" part ^^ Just get a hub. Bandwidth of all USB devices is shared anyways, doesn't matter if they are on your IO or a hub ^^

Asus P8Z77-V LX

MSI Z77A-G43

MSI Z77A-GD55

All 3 of em 100-150$ at least here. ^^

Sorry, I grabbed the wrong link in the OP! Didn't mean to choose the -M version!

So the Fata1lty is better than ASRock Z77 Pro4 correct?

As long as you get a z77 version.

P67 has / had severe problems, would stick with z77 if I was u ^^

I listed the OP's in the thread I wanna get because of the price range I wanted to spend, not looking to spend $150+ on MOBO atm.

They are 100-120$ here ^^

[Can't get around the Newegg page, they need some UX research it's horrible :D]

Yes, but what did you want the board to do? Any of the Z77 boards you've chosen will work. You can't SLI with either if you're looking to do that though.

Now PERSONALLY, which do you think is the best board? I'm leaning towards the ASRock Z77 Extreme 6 which is $150

Do you think the Extreme 6 is better than all of those you linked? Be honest.

Do you think the Extreme 6 is better than all of those you linked? Be honest.

The Extreme4 is/was a popular Z77 budget motherboard. I'd most likely go for that.

Extreme6 differences versus Extreme4

- The Extreme6 has DisplayPort with max. resolution up to 2560x1600 @ 60Hz

- The Extreme6 has extra 1 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot & 1 x mini-PCI Express slot

- The Extreme6 uses Etron EJ168A controller instead of the Extreme4s Asmedia ASM1042

- The Extreme6 uses Z68 Extreme4 style MOSFET heatsinks

- The Extreme6 comes with front panel USB3

It's up to you whether you think the extra cash will be worth it. Either board will do a good job.
