Hi guys, i am playing some cod black ops 3 recently but I want to use an controller for it. And for split screen mode too. I have tried to use a plastation 3 controller but it doesn't work. Which controller should i get to get this working?

You can purchase an Xbox One or Xbox 360 controller. Additionally, Logitech has some controllers that can be used as Xbox 360 controllers that also can be programmed directly.

Xbox controllers are million times better than PS. 

 

But if you really want to use play station controller you can use a program called "Motion Joy". It will basically trick your computer into thinking that your PS pad is an Xbox controller.

 

The only downside is that you will get Xbox icons on screen (for example you will see "A" instead of "X") because only Xbox controller is officially supported by microsoft.

you can use a ps3 controller using DS3 tools or scp server to simulate a xbox 360 controller or you can just buy a 360/one controller

Avoid Motion Joy at all costs - SCP server is the way to go.

 

Personally, I highly recommend the Xbox One controller - after using one for a while, the 360 controller just feels cheap.

I've got the PDP afterglow Xbox one controller and I love it! It's super pretty and it has programmable buttons on the back. Up, Down, and Middle press on both sides equalling 6 buttons that are easy to remap even in game. I had some problems with xbox 360 wireless controllers (they disconnect randomly, not a good thing when you are in the middle of combat) so I recently got a wired controller, the logitech F310 and I think that is a good value. I mean, is far from the best controller but for the price is good, and it can work (haven't tested, just what I've found) with PC, xbox and PS switching the mode button on the back.

 

So I recommend to get this one, because it is cheap it can be used as a back up controller.

Any sort of Xbox controller works perfect for PC. I personally recommend the Razer Wildcat Xbox one controller for PC, since Razer makes some very great products.
