$1850 gaming pc build

bobfreeman

Hey guys a friend of mine is looking to build a gaming pc for $1850. He lives in Houston Texas and all of the parts have to be from microcenter because he has a giftcard, so please make sure the parts are available at microcenter Houston. The price also has to include a 1440p monitor. Thanks

How come all of the parts need to be from there? Is it a $1850 card?

You realise how this build has a strange storage configuration? If you don't buy so many SSDs you can afford a 980ti instead of a 970

This is an alright build, but I'd recommend a different cooler. the Dark Rock Pro 3 is a major bitch to install. I ended up taking off some of my friends heatsinks on his motherboard in order to screw it in.

Why would anyone raid such a low capacity hard drive. I know intel SSD's are beasts but you're literally losing money in terms of price. He won't need that fast of a boot. Also the monitor should be included. You could literally pick up a 950 PRO 256GB SSD and still have way faster speeds.

I just realized something, it's pure Micro Center and CPU's aren't shown when it's only Micro Center. You're going to have to assume prices, they should have it there. But look for a 980 ti, a 6600k/6700k, a 650W PSU from either EVGA, XFX or Seasonic, whatever cooler you want (I prefer NZXT X61 or a noctua one), and if LGA 1151, then a Asus Z170A motherboard.

According to PCPP, Micro Center only has 1 stick of RAM for $80. It'd be better to order online (this is tailored to my local  micro center)
