Mounting for Dell Monitors

Go to solution Solved by ALwin,

How I would get on of their stands..only if they didn't cost more than both of my monitors combined...

1. Look for the model that you want to buy, by how many monitors you need to mount and the weight they can support.

2. Look for the models you selected on Amazon or other online retailers.

I like the Ergotron stands because they are robust and durable.

So I have a tale to tell before I get to the question, which by the end, you will understand what the question is.

I have been thinking lately of picking up two more Dell E2414H monitors to match the one I own already. I tried doing some research on the mounting, but could find nothing for my solution. I called Technical Support, which is where the frustration and fun really starts. Apparently, asking if your monitor has a mounting solution, means send you to Sales because you want to buy a monitor. It is as if they actually only heard four words I said. I finally got connected to a Supervisor(for the second time), and he explained that Sales would have knowledge of such a product, and told me this both times. Just to mention, he only said call Sales the first time, but the second time, he regarded that I already connected to him once before, and explained WHY he couldn't help me. He was very professional about the situation, to some extent.

I called Sales, only to be connected to Technical Support once again, and I was told to call Sales. I am now told that Sales only helps with products associated with Dell systems, and that I should call Technical Support. From what I understand, I am going to be put into an endless loop of Technical Support and Sales. I am now positive that I am confusing the Hell out of the Sales Dep. because they don't know anything about the mounting by heart. I don't blame them though, because Dell uses multiple mounting solutions for their monitors.
At last, he says he has a solution, and I have been told to go to a hardware store, and ask for a 100mm x 100mm 24 inch monitor wall mounting solution... Let's take a moment, and think.

What the actual f*** did he just say to do?

Q: Does anyone know of a triple monitor mounting solution for Dell monitors or adapters for Dell monitors to be mounted to proper VESA solutions? I understand that the manual says this monitor can be used with VESA mounting, but I believe that there is a certain adapter to use. I looked at the back of my monitor, and that is totally not standard VESA mounting.

P.S. I am not new to technology in the least, and I have used VESA mounts before, but Dell support has been terrible whenever I attempt using it. I have to admit, the last guy really made an effort to help out, and I appreciate at least that. Dell is not a terrible company, they just really, REAAALLY lack support for customers. Never before has Technical Support or Sales told me to go to a hardware store. This is a once in a lifetime experience I would never choose to have again. That is all. 0_0

I recommend Ergotron stands.  They will also have adapters that convert non standard mounts to standard Vesa.

I don't think Dell makes multi monitor stands or mounts, they may buy from third party manufacturers and put their branding on it... if they do sell any.

How about eBay solutions?  Just make sure they can support the combined weight of your monitors.

The reason the ones I need are so expensive, is because the mounting type is MX. MX and LX are significantly more expensive than normal VESA. I will try a bigger table or desk. Thanks for the help. I will remember those solutions in the future if I have the money.

My primary Benq XL2410T was only 150 and my second monitor was free as I got it when my dad's business closed down...
