GTX 980 Overclocking Tips | Help

Go to solution Solved by Gix7Fifty,

Any particular reason you want to use MSI Afterburner instead of EVGA's PrecisionX 16?

Here is PaulsHardware OC video

I want to overclock my GTX 980 with MSI Afterburner, but its been a long time since I've overclocked, so I want some advice. I do have a 600w PSU (80 Plus), so I really don't know is that enough for overclocking.

Any recommended settings for a GTX 980 and the type of PSU I have? Its an EVGA 600w one....unfortunately, it was the only one I could get at the moment, but I will upgrade the quality later on.

Explain please.

They have a EVGA graphics card, PrecisionX is made by EVGA to work with their cards. And having used both, PrecisionX is just as easy to use.

Oops, the PSU is a EVGA. So if it's not a EVGA graphics card ether works.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
