Is it possible to swap out my i5 for my i7

Hey guys.

I am currently using an i5 4690k and have just had an i7 4790k arrive. Am I okay to just swap out the cpu on my msi z97 pc mate? As they're identical sockets.

Many thanks

Gannicius

Totally fine, just remember to apply thermal paste and re-seat the cooler properly.

I used to be quite active here.

There's no issues... it's literally the same process as installing the i5.

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.
