Super stupid question. Can any PSU cord be used in any other PSU? I've swapped them out before without an issue, but thinking back now I've always bought the same brand, and roughly the same wattage. I've got an old rig I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with and this is my first jump off point. It powers up, the fans (all of them) start running at full and it never posts.

I don't have the specs at the moment as i'm at work.

Yes you can use any. The only thing that will hold you back is the fuse.

If it has a 1 amp fuse you can change it to what you need and off you go. However I personally have never needed to do that.

It's not a race to the bottom.
