Skyrim Mod Packs

Go to solution Solved by r1Ns3,

I have just confirmed, this works perfectly! thank you loads everyone, problem solved!

Hey everyone! I decided I feel like playing some Skyrim! :D

I have finished the game before, but I am happy to play it again and really enjoy it further with the help of some INSANE modding!

Does anyone know of any easy to install mods? Like mods that have an auto installer or are REALLY easy to install?

I haven't modded Skyrim very much before, I am mainly looking for visual improvements and additional side quests, the main quests are fine as they are :)

I don't really want like 1000+ mods just want a really good amount that does really affect the game quite heavily.

NO CUSTOM VOICE ACTING PLEASE I HATE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO VOICE ACT :(

They just aren't as good as studio grade and it really takes out the immersive part of Skyrim.

Thanks a lot.

Nexus mods the place to look for mods and it even has a mod organizer that makes it very easy to install mods.

Make sure you read requirements of mods THROUGHLY alot of them will require additional mods or utilities or work

Get LOOT as well skyrim mods need to load in a particular order and loot will handle this for you better then NMM

You would use loot in combination with a mod manager (like NMM or Mod Organizer)

Oh I see, ok well right now I am using NMM as it seems really simple, just clicking to download and install. Will reply if it worked.

The thing about Skyrim modding is that it's not always simply click download and play, some mods require extra work to get running, many mods have compatibility issues with other mods, so on and so forth.  Sometimes you may not notice it at first, but after about 30 hours or so your save file can become unstable and fail to load or result in frequent CTDs if you haven't set up everything correctly beforehand.

Gopher has a pretty comprehensive modding guide for beginners that'd be good for you to look at.  Covers all the bases from Textures, to SKSE, LOOT, etc.

The Nexus Mod Manager video in the above playlist is outdated, check out his updated guide on Nexus Mod Manager and all its new features in this playlist below.

I know the videos are quite lengthy, but they do cover pretty much everything you need to know and walk through things step by step.  At the very least I'd recommend watching the Introduction, Basics and SKSE videos.
