Hi, first of all I'm new here, so I apologize for any breach of conduct or bad grammar etc.

So my uncle gave me a 27" LG E2711 monitor, and its only connection is via VGA (my laptop doesn't have a VGA port) so I was wondering if I got an adaptor and converted the VGA to HDMI; would there be any loss in picture quality?

And it would also be cool to know if the monitor itself is any good?

Thanks,

Irish88.

any time vga is involved than yes...  your talking about converting a digital signal (hdmi) to an analog signal (vga) there will be quality loss
