Buying 970 now?

Is good to buy GTX 970 now? I heard about some releases of new gpus so I´m just curious.

Yeah, a 970 or 390. 

I have been telling people to get a mid range card at this time because the next GPUs coming out change the nanometer process and in some cases the VRAM. 

 

If you're going to hand this card down or sell it, get a 970 tier. If you're just going to stick in the closet when Pascal/new amd comes out, just get a 950-960 tier card or don't upgrade. 

 

If pascal wasn't going to change so many things, I would say don't bother waiting. But once every few years, it's actually worth waiting for new hardware. And this is one of those years.

Yeah unless you can be bothered to wait 6-9 months.

That depends on you. Like I said, if you have another system to drop it into get it.

If you don't mind new cards, with better games, more features coming out months after your purchase, get it now.
