I do have coilwhine on my 980ti, could my rm850 be the problem?

It should not be a problem... Coil whine is most of the times normal...

well, i cant live with it :P

Surely there must be some way to dampen the vibration with something... hmm I wonder.

Could be both, really. Even High-quality PSU's can make coils whine. It could be a fan, too, does it happen at every fan speed? Under load?

My old 680 used to have coil whine when running at minimum fan speed, cranking the fan up a little at idle solved that.
