Cleaning PC,cleaning dust

Bojan

So my pc is pretty dusty, and its not like chunky dust is like micro dust so what i plan to do is get some compressed air and on a nice sunny day (hard to find in the winter) take ma pc out and just blow it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

so i was wondering if i should take out some parts like the hdd,the graphics card the cpu cooler and get some fresh thermal goop on there, like should i take those parts

off to make the dusting more easy, will it fuck up the drivers whats gonna happen?

Thou shouldnt need new paste, although it would not hurt...

It looks as if the peasants have risen up, and found swords!

But their sword's look a little short, if you know what I mean!

Good! The squires need training anyway!

It's not a big deal to change thermal paste, at most (if it's like 2 years old) it will make a 2C difference.
You can do it, but meh.
If it's just micro dust, point a desk fan away from your PC and blow it indoors. NBD

Just remember that if you are using canned air to blow off the dust not not spin your fans with the air. Using compressed air can cause the fan to spin faster than it is rated for and can damage the fan.

how old is your pc? sometimes applying new thermal paste is good if you had your pc for a long time.

but you don't have to take out the components to clean. if it's been a while since your last cleaning then it won't hurt to take out the GPU and clean the fan blades. as for the CPU heatsink and stuff, you can just blow it with compressed air.

Take it outside.  Remove both side panels.  Hold breath.  Compressed air in quick bursts.  Done.

Don't bother with the other shit it's just not worth the effort.  Also don't worry about blowing out every speck cause they'll be coming back in 30 seconds anyways when you turn it on.

Yeah you really don't need to do any of that. Just hold the fans in place when you spray em down with the duster.
New thermal paste might do you some good, but it's typically not needed.

Power washer? (i'm just joshin' ya)

Air can and a paint brush for the stubborn dust. If you computer is only a 1-2 old you don't need to break it down, apply paste, and all that. Unless you computer is in a wood shop or something O.o...

anything more is just overkill and you might potentially mess something up if you're not careful removing parts and stuff.
