Hey guys, i'm looking into a capture card for streaming my consoles and perhaps eventually for a second "streaming PC". I need some help choosing one of these two as I do not personally see a difference. I don't want to pay the premium for the Elgato HD 60Pro as I won't be using it for 1080p 60 FPS streaming/recording.

Card 1:

Card 2:

Is there any difference between these cards or is the button thing the only thing?

off the top of my head the first one can only do 720p60 or 1080p30 (or lower offcourse), and the second, more expensive one can do 1080p60

EDIT: should add, may be wrong, its been a while since i looked into these.

The Elgato is £130-150 that's a ridiculous expense vs one of these at almost half the price. I should add I don't intend to record/stream at 1080p 60 FPS.

Get a old version or second hand one.

PC specs? Most GPUs and CPUs have an encoder integrated.

Also, since you will be uploading this to twitch in real time, 1080p30 is the best option. 60fps doesn't give anything to the viewer. Just more data for you to upload.

My PC is fine at the moment i'm thinking more for console streaming than PC streaming.

Oh, PS4 and XBONE have decent streaming integrated. But just get the cheaper one. As I said before, streaming at 60fps is nonsense.

Yeah, are the Avermedia cards rated well though? I don't really understand how this PCI capture card is cheaper than an Elgato HD60. I'm using overlays etc that's why I need a capture card.
