FX series, not a good choice in cu's, get yourself an I5. The 390 is better performing than the 970 as of now, so if it's cheaper where you are, get the 390. CX psus are mediocore, and usually aren't a good idea for gaming builds, get something from xfx, seasonic, or antec.

Slightly more, just a tad but much better performance, probably let another member change the PSU, i'm not sure on how good it is. Colour is all over the place, but doesn't matter because you have no window side panel. Damn, didn't notice, that HDD is very expensive, we need to swap that out.

Maybe add a SSD with the saved monies.

Your CPU is fine for gaming dont worry about it hardly any games will even utilize the full 8 cores and trust me there is not much of a difference between an i5 and fx 8320 in gaming. Your build seems to be solid!

Wait, he hasn't listed his needs. And even if it is sufficient, it's a dead socket. He won't have any upgrade path, and he'll have to shell out more money to upgrade later on.

For any game the equivalently priced quad core Intel cpu will be better than the amd. In everyday use the amd will be fine.

Has intel CPU, slight bias. Now what did that add to the conversation? Nothing, exactly.

That's actually wrong, because he had the exact same AMD CPU, whereas I am not biased towards Intel (Nor do I have an I5 4460, i'm just going off statistics that prove that it is slightly higher performing.), if AMD is better, then I will concede that it is better, which it is not in this case.

So how do you know he's biased towards AMD? There's just as much reason for me to believe you're biased towards intel, so why should I believe you? It's just a pointless and baseless thing to point out.

He's probably not biased towards AMD; AMD CPU's look good on paper, and with people who haven't done enough research, they might think it's a extremely good CPU. Anyways, lets try to stay on topic :P

I know, more than half the stuff in my rig is used. But you can get an I5 that generally performs better in games for the same price as the fx. There's no real reason to get it unless you need a budget editing rig.
