Buying a mobo

Recently my mobo bit the dust and now it is time for a new one , I need something under the 100$ mark (with shipping) I currently run the AM3 platform but something with a little bit of upgrade room would be nice , and a full size ATX as my gpus are dual slot and i have 2 of them

I am looking at a BIOSTAR TA970 as my PSU cables are yellow and black , but theres alot of mixed reviews for this board.

any help or feedback would be greatly needed.

MSI have some good motherboards. I've had two before, 10/10 for both.

The mobo that died was an msi , 

 

 

Hm. How old was it?

 

 

I am currently using the MSI Z97M  Gaming board. Its fantastic and they do the MSI Z97 Gaming 4 and its a ATX mobo. I'd suggest you check it out.

And the AM3 part

When you say "upgrade", if you're referring to an FX 8 chip, the sub $100 range is not your friend.

MSI boards for AMD are shitty.

 

@OP, if you stay on amd and want one for $100 or less Get a 990FX or 970 Gigabyte UD3. If you have an FX 8 core I'd consider the 990FXA-UD3 more. Also the Biostar boards are worse than the board you had.
