under 800 isnt easy for 34", dont expect something like 100hz or gsync

most only have 60hz if you're ok with that ( but most are able to run ~75hz with some tinkering )

If you want pay so much money, you should go for Gsync and more Hz. Its by far a better experience.

It could be productivity centered. If you're working more with editing video and audio, screen real estate is much more important than Gsync or Hz.

Don't be fooled by the bottom line of my sig, that is just for my travels.

So you're telling me that Gaben is no God? Enough of your foolishness.

My hardware you ask? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3217 Notebook... With an LG 25UM57.

Ya, my point of view is from the Gaming Perspective. For work i use 3 normal 60Hz DeLL Displays. I dont care about tearing in CAD.

I mean g-sync and higher Hz sounds nice and all but not for the price tag they are atm.

Ya, Ultrawide would be very expensive with those Specs.

What Specs beside the 75Hz? 100% no IPS Panel and no Gsync.

It will be IPS as the only curved panels made in those dimensions are IPS. No Gsync or Freesync, otherwise the price would be another couple hundred dollars more. They will be using A+ panels too.

Yes.

Well looks like its going to be a fantastic deal then. I know linus said that going from 60 hz to 75 hz is a big difference so im going to have to pick this up once it comes out.

Monoprice is known for having less of a markup than others. The panels they use will be A+, so they are the same quality as all the pricier monitors that use the same 1440p ultra wide panel. It will not have a 100 MHz overclock or Gsync or Freesync. For people who do not play videogames, this doesn't matter.

Lol. You've never bought things from Monoprice before. Their entire business is built around selling white-label products for much cheaper prices than the competition.

They are known for selling high quality HDMI cables for about $5 (high gauge, solid construction, gold connectors), when their competition sold for $40.

They are the first US distributor to sell Korean 27" 1440p monitors, with warranty, back in 2012 for about $350. All other US competitors like HP, Dell, etc were selling for $700.

So it does not surprise me at all that they could sell a 34" 1440p ultrawide for $500. There are enough of these types of panels being made that production costs are going down.

Razer Blade 14 (2015) | Core i7-4720HQ | 8GB RAM | GeForce 970M | 500GB M.2 SSD | 14.1" 1920x1080 Display | 4.19 lbs
