hey guys I've got a new build I'm working on. This is my first post on tech tips. Everything in the build is very affordable for someone looking to build a cheapish gaming system. parts are as follows.

 

CPU: i7 2700k

 

CPU cooler: h100i

 

motherboard: gigabyte g1 sniper 2

 

ram: corsair vengeance 16gb black

 

gpu: gtx 480 sli

 

psu: corsair ax 760

 

case: corsair c70

where'd you find a 2700k and the two 480s?

Sandy is still pretty good.

 

480 SLI however.. (@OP it is highly likely that 750w PSU will not support a 480SLI build, let alone the metric ♥♥♥♥tons of heat those things will put out)

True. I went with Ivy but the Fermi 1st Gen is absurd (pardon me for voicing my opinion) for such a build.

Sandy is still relevant. People don't give CPU's the credit the deserve for their potential longevity (5-6 years instead of 2-3). and 2 480's are still beast and can max out most games today @ 1080(and eat power and cook your house like no tomorrow)
