i7 6700

I was looking at getting a i7 6700. I was wondering if the stock cooler that comes with the cpu will be good enough. Thanks for the help in advance.

If you are not going to be overclocking then yes.

Depends on what you want to do with it. Overclocking, low noise, or low heat it will not be good, but normal use it will definitely be good enough.

Get a cheap CPU cooler instead.

Only the K SKUs don't come with one. As they're expecting you to OC, they also expect you to replace the cooler anyway.

you can overclock no K versions of all skylake chips using the right mobo.

The computer will mainly be used for gaming and light video editing. I do not plan on overclocking that's why am going with a non K series chip. If i was to decide to get a aftermarket cooler what do you guys recommend?

It's not by multiplier though, is it? I would assume it's something similar to BCLK overclocking. I haven't really looked into it much.

go for a cheap air cooler, like a 212 evo or a Cryorig H7. I have a locked CPU, but with an aftermarket cooler, it's quieter and runs cooler

only K series have no cooler.

With the aftermarket cooler do i need to worry about the cpu bending? I read a article were that was a issue but the guy also used a electric screw driver to install the cooler to.
